Personally I'm not a member of Facebook. However what I do know about it is that is seems to be a social networking-type website along the lines of MySpace.
I see that those that do belong to Facebook are up in arms about some changes that Facebook has made and I decided to find out more about it.
On February 4, 2009, Facebook changed their terms of service. Here is what another blog post has posted about the change:
"Anything you upload to Facebook can be used by Facebook in any way they deem fit, forever, no matter what you do later. Want to close your account? Good for you, but Facebook still has the right to do whatever it wants with your old content"When you sign up with Facebook, you grant them the use of anything that you upload to them and you grant them the right(s) of irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, fully paid, worldwide license (with the right to sublicense) to (a) use, copy, publish, stream, store, retain, publicly perform or display, transmit, scan, reformat, modify, edit, frame, translate, excerpt, adapt, create derivative works and distribute those things that you have indeed uploaded to them!
